What I liked the most about the him is his very mysterious identity. On the other hand, the ML is an aloof, cold and amnesiac monk. And his inner thoughts are so funny! He's actually one of the most enjoyable characters I've ever read, not just in danmei. He is like when you're in public with a friend, but your friend is so shameless that you don't want to admit he's your friend. He spouts a lot of nonsense that makes him so embarrassing but always self-conscious when it comes to losing his dignity. He's hilariously arrogant, dramatic, whiny and unreasonable. He's a very mighty and dignified but paralyzed mystical dragon who loves saving his own face. There are a lot of great things that comprised this novel, but my most favorite part is the MC being an embarrassment throughout the series. more> while the ML treasures his words so much) But for the most part, I just had a fun reading the interaction between the MC and ML, though it's mostly the MC who dominates the conversation (as the MC never shuts his mouth. It's just a tiny part of the novel, but angst is still an angst. This is my third danmei novel with a dragon character in it, and I'm telling you, if there's a dragon MC or ML in a story, there's going to be an angst. I freaking enjoy reading Copper Coins so much. One last thing much applause to the translator (nice work) you are an absolute gem. good thing I have very colourful imagination #winkĪll in all if you are a slow burn kinda person and love that vibe this is the ONE just go for it, give it a shot it literally costs you nada. I just wish it had more smexy scenes but that doesn't make it less worthy of a five star. The ML and MC are honestly made for each other-no doubt about that, this story is about how they learn to slowly care, trust and learn to love each other and also not forgetting the rib-cracking humour. more> it this interesting it will definitely suck you in. I can say for sure that I have read tons of yaoi novels and this is a very highly rated book on my list: the characters are well described each with their own traits that draw you as a reader to them, the author obviously did not write this book in haste and took time to make. Me creating an account just to tell you this is all you need. I could not hold it in and just and had to give a review for this one. I wished the main CP had more time to establish an even deeper connection to make it seem more realistic, but it is what it is.įor recs after this novel, try Nan Chan because let's face it. Characters are nice but doesn't leave you too attached to them. It's not a terrible plot, but it's not great either. On one hand you'll be at the edge of your seat witnessing the main CP inadvertently flirt with each other 24/7 & on the other you'll be wracking your brains at what a messy convoluted execution this whole plot was. It's a lot of supernatural encounters, geomancy, & aphrodisiac-filled dragon spit. One's missing his memories, the other his body. Story stars two individuals who are both missing shit. It's far better than anything I could get out of rough MTLs. I think the TL did a pretty good job in translating, so I have no complaints. Copper Coins is probably one of those types of stories that I have the habit of pushing back to read due to its plethora of pinyin. I remember saying to myself that I would read this at the beginning of 2021 & here we are in 2022 finally accomplishing. He constantly felt the need to annoy Xuanmin."-c26
